Organized by Demaney Smith and friends, held every year, here is a clip of people having fun during the competition. This is the first day of the competition. I have edited it to catch what I perceive as being the most exciting move.. to shorten the time and memory etc. The video includes some of the finest surf kayakers from the West Coast of the US and include Demaney Smith, Rusty Sage, Sean Morley Dave Johnston, Jono Stevens Vince Shay, Buck Johnston just to mention a few people and not meaing to miss some other greats!...There is also a day 2 following this video. NOC has teamed with two of the nation's top kayak surfers to offer an instruction program that is the first of its kind - The NOC Outer Banks Kayak Surfing Class. Two-time National Surf Kayak Champion, Spencer Cooke, and Two-time US Surf Kayak Team qualifier, Philip Aschliman, will be teaching beginner-advanced paddle surfing skills at Cape Hatteras North Carolina on October 19-21, 2007. North Carolina's Outer Banks are known for their favorable surfing conditions and have been the site of multiple surf kayak national championships. (more)
